This event tagged IDENTITY brought about a good collection of different designers with unique views. designers such as Gozle green ,Orange culture, Lisa folawiyo,post imperial, Shem paronelli ,Kelechi Odu and AAKS. These various designers made a collective fashion and art inclined exhibition which envisaged the real meaning of their AW17 collection.
The just concluded event which was held at Red door gallery ,VI welcomed the big goons of the fashion industry most especially bloggers ,clothing stylists,Creative and Art entrepreneurs ,fashion and style writers,etc
The film Eko for show was also screened at the presentation,the film told a story of the history of fashion in Africa mostly Lagos(Nigeria) and why Lagos is amongst the hearts of fashion with other countries such as Paris ,New York ,Milan ,etc
The most enlightening part of the film was the historical meaning of fashion in Lagos which was traced to rural villagers and the common prints they had on their body which was later put into materials,the film also spoke about how various Nigerian materials came into existence and how they have spread in recent times. Materials such as Aso Oke ,Ankara and lace. Eko for show also demonstrated the fact everybody on the street is fashionable either knowingly or unknowingly.
